Spriggs Florist
Established in 1979, Spriggs Florist has been a focal point of Petworth for the past 31 years.
Ever inspired by nature, our beautiful flowers and plants are sourced from UK growers, The Netherlands and beyond, to create beautiful arrangements for your home.
Presentation is extremely important to us, the shop invites people in with flowers dressing the steps and the interior is designed to show people not just a wide range of flowers and plants but also their potential - we believe that people should leave with a work of art, not just a bunch of flowers.
A beautiful selection of spring planted bowls and baskets, including scented hyacinths, primroses and cyclamen, all are enough to brighten the dullest day. Inside the shop you will find a choice selection of seasonal cut flowers and foliages, along side orchids and hellebores.

Spriggs
In September 2011, just round the corner from Spriggs Florist in New Street we opened our second shop.
The main show room on the ground floor stocks amazingly realistic artificial plants, flower arrangements and loose stems. In addition there is a large range of clear and coloured glass vases, ceramic jugs, pots and urns plus a good selection of candles.
The light and airy first floor is dedicated to private consultations with customers planning weddings or parties. Clusters of vases, vintage teacups and saucers, candelabra are designed to inspire and illustrate the large spectrum of styles and looks that Spriggs can create to enhance your celebration.
Matthew and Samantha have also sourced a good variety of classic and contemporary home accessories found on their travels in Europe; “We particularly like the items made from whisky casks which our father found on one of his fishing trips to the Scottish Highlands.”
Matthew explains: “Building on the success our Florist shop has enjoyed over the past 31 years and with an ever increasing range of beautiful products available, we decided that the original shop in Golden Square should focus solely on fresh flowers, plants, bouquets and planted arrangements with theshowroom at the rear dedicated to Orchids. The new shop enables us to offer a larger range of the silk flowers and vases which we have always struggled to display at their best alongside the fresh flowers.”
On the second floor, there is a light and airy wedding and party consultation room, where you can relax whilst discussing the flowers for your event. There is also on display a wide range of vases, containers, urns and plinths which can all be hired for your event.
